The 3rd Annual Balloon Walk to benefit The Wesley Community is scheduled for Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at The Wesley Community campus. The event will bring together the community, residents, families and Wesley staff to have fun and to raise funds for our Springs building renovation project.
Due to the weather forecast we have had to make some changes to the event, but do plan to still hold it this Saturday, August 13th. A revised schedule of events is below:
9:30 a.m. - Registration Opens. A shuttle is available to the registration location from all parking lots on campus. Please see the event map.
10:00 a.m. – Face Painting, Sparkles the Tall Juggler and a Fun Photo Booth open inside Embury Café.
10:30 a.m. – Walk Begins (weather permitting). Please note that the course has been shortened and that walkers will receive balloons after the walk/bbq, rather than during. Water will be available on the walking course. Please see the revised course map.
11:00 a.m. – Group photo in front of the Hot Air Balloon (weather permitting)
11:00 a.m. – 1 p.m. – Inside Embury Café (air-conditioned!)
- Giffy’s BBQ (takeout or eat-in)
- Live Music from The Hot Club of Saratoga
- Fun Photo Booth from Niki Rossi Photography
- Face Painting
- Balloons from our Balloon Station Sponsors
**Please note that dogs are not allowed inside of Embury Cafe for this event unless they are a service animal.**
Proceeds from the 3rd Annual Balloon Walk will help to support the ongoing Springs renovation project at The Wesley Health Care Center.
The improvements are creating a more home-like atmosphere for more than 160 long term care residents in the Springs building. We recently completed Phase One, which included a complete renovation of the ground floor of Wesley Health Care Center, and the 5th floor of the Springs Building. Below are some photographs of what the updated rooms and common areas look like.
Thank you for helping us to raise these funds!
